About Us Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a faith-based health solutions provider founded by an ecumenical partnership of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK). The Organization’s core mandate is being a reliable provider for quality and affordable Health Products and Technologies, Quality Assurance and Health Systems Strengthening Services. MEDS was established in 1986 and serves clients spread throughout Kenya, other regions in Africa and beyond. Project Summary MEDS has a contract with USAID Kenya and East Africa called USAID Dawa za Ubora, which is scheduled to conclude in June 2026. The purpose of the contract is to obtain efficient, reliable and accountable supply chain management services for the procurement, warehousing, and distribution of health commodities for HIV, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Maternal/Neonatal/Child Health (MNCH) and Global Health Security (GHS) activities for patients across all 47 Counties in Kenya for adequate care, treatment and prevention for communicable diseases and other health needs. About the role The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for coordinating the smooth and efficient operation of warehouses, ensuring that Health Products and Technologies (HPT) are stored, handled, and distributed accurately and on time. The offer and contract are subject to availability of USG donor funding. Job Responsibilities i. Coordinate receipt of Health Products and Technologies (HPT) and update records for accountability ii. Coordinate release of stock to inspection stage for quality assurance assessment iii. Ensure accountability of HPT during storage and order processing iv. Supervision of warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders v. Ensure barcode utilization in applicable warehouse order processes vi. Oversee daily activities of warehouse staff including effective performance management to achieve operational objectives and targets vii. Manage and control resources to ensure optimized use and accountability viii. Prepare and present management reports for decision making ix. Implement guidelines of Good Storage and Distribution Practices for HPT to ensure compliance with regulatory authority x. Ensure material handling tools such as forklifts, pallet movers etc. are operational for efficient use xi. Manage packaging materials and related consumables for efficient use xii. Manage the assigned team to ensure a healthy work environment Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field with a Diploma in Pharmacy; • Registration or enrollment with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board; • 5 years of experience in supply chain management or a related field; • 3 years of experience managing small to medium teams; • Competence in operations planning and problem solving. • Experience in donor-funded sector and CILT, CIPS, CHL, Medical Logistics or equivalent certification is an added advantage;
