Job Summary
The Ticketing Officer is responsible for assisting customers with flight bookings, ticket issuance, reservations, cancellations, and travel-related inquiries. The role requires excellent customer service, communication skills, accuracy, and a good understanding of airline ticketing and reservation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle flight ticket bookings and reservations for customers.
- Issue, reissue, cancel, and refund airline tickets according to airline policies.
- Provide customers with accurate information about flight schedules, fares, routes, baggage allowances, and travel requirements.
- Assist customers in selecting suitable flights based on their travel needs and budget.
- Make changes to existing bookings, including travel dates, destinations, and passenger information.
- Respond to customer inquiries through phone calls, email, social media, and in-person visits.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, ticket sales, cancellations, and refunds.
- Follow up with customers regarding booking confirmations, schedule changes, and flight updates.
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other travel service providers when necessary.
- Promote travel packages and other services offered by the travel agency.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and provide appropriate solutions.
- Ensure all customer information is treated confidentially.
- Prepare daily or weekly ticketing and sales reports.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
