Our Tanzania program, founded in 2013, serves approximately. 150,000 farmers, providing quality farm supplies through a network of agrodealer shops, and a range of different tree species through local nurseries situated close to farmers. About the Role The extension and training senior officer will deliver GAP to farmers in the respective district within the region and be flexible to work across One Acre Fund regions of operation if assigned to drive impact and sustainability through training and extension. You will work closely with and report to the regional agronomist to achieve seasonal goals and OKRs. Responsibilities Regional Impact Achieve adoption targets through training and extension and providing tailored product recommendations to One Acre Fund farmers. Bring attention to any challenges experienced by farmers to the leadership for necessary action. To supervise lead farmers in the delivery of training and management of demonstration plots. Farmer Relationships Ensure farmer satisfaction with services offered by proper and efficient training. Data Collection Conduct regular data collection for relevant surveys and ensure data quality. Support the execution of relevant trials across their region of operation. Enroll farmer groups and provide customer service in all interactions with farmers. For this role specifically, you will have: Certificate & Diploma in relevant agriculture-related courses. At Least 1+ years of experience in Agricultural or community development. Technological proficiency (computers, email, tablets).
