Support Service InternDanish Refugee Council, one of the worldâs leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for ahighly qualified Support Service Intern.About the jobThe Support Service Intern is responsible Administrative and Supply Chain works with the supportand guidance of the base manager and Team Leaders â HR & Admin and Supply Chain.Your main duties and responsibilities will be:⢠Monitor the warehouse, stock levels, and expiry dates of items, updating stock and bin cards asneeded.⢠Release items for project teams, ensuring the pre-approval of stock release orders.⢠Maintain an effective archiving system for stock documents and upload all documents to DRCSharePoint.⢠Liaise with vendors and project teams to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services inaccordance with DRC procurement policies.⢠Support the preparation and timely submission of documents for supplier payments to finance.⢠Manage daily vehicle movement for the office and ensure all rented vehicles are in good workingcondition.⢠Prepare monthly fleet monitoring reports and ensure the proper use of DRC log sheets for rentedvehicles.⢠Verify that all DRC drivers possess valid driving licenses at all times.⢠Tag all DRC assets and GPEs, and track them to maintain an updated asset register.⢠Ensure proper tracking, maintenance, and recording of all DRC assets in Beledweyne.⢠Conduct quarterly physical verification of assets and GPEs.⢠Liaise with the Supply Chain Team Leader and IT Specialist to recommend asset disposal whennecessary.⢠Liaise with the Supply Chain Team Leader and HR/Admin Team Leader to recommend GPEdisposals when necessary.⢠Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.⢠Assist administrative functions internally and externally - suppliers, hotels, etc.⢠Assist security clearances in liaison with area safety team â as required.⢠Assist that DRC office equipment (power, telephone, water etc) and are in good conditionincluding necessary repairs and maintenance.⢠Assi === Skills & Qualifications === About youTo be successful in this role we expect you to have:⢠Minimum Bachelor degree in Procurement & Supply chain Management, Bachelor of BusinessAdministration (BBA) or Any other related field.⢠Good skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point⢠Basic knowledge of procurement principles⢠Good interpersonal and team skills⢠Commitment to humanitarian principles and values⢠Commitment to and understanding of DRCâs aims, values and principles⢠Languages: Proficiency in written & spoken English and SomaliIn this position, you are expected to demonstrate DRCâ five core competencies:Striving for excellence: You focus on reaching results while ensuring an efficient process.Collaborating: You involve relevant parties and encourage feedback.Taking the lead: You take ownership and initiative while aiming for innovation.Communicating: You listen and speak effectively and honestly.Demonstrating integrity: You uphold and promote the highest standards of ethical --- About Beledweyne --- Beledweyne is the capital of the Hiraan region in central Somalia, situated along the Shabelle River.
