Context
The UNV office in Somalia is seeking enthusiastic and creative Online Volunteers to support our digital outreach and communication efforts. This initiative aims to increase the visibility of the valuable work being undertaken by the communication team and to strengthen the growth and uptake of the Online Volunteering service at the country level. By engaging a wider network of volunteers, we aim to raise public awareness, strengthen community engagement, and expand the reach of the UNV programme in Somalia.

Task description
The Online Volunteers will support digital outreach activities for the UNV office in Somalia. Specific tasks shall include: • Content Promotion: Share and promote corporate and local content on various digital and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). • Content Creation: Develop creative ideas and content (posts, articles, graphics, short videos) to engage diverse local audiences and raise awareness of key messages and stories relevant to Somalia. • Community Engagement: Actively engage with local organizations and communities to foster partnerships and increase campaign reach. • Event Support: Organize and participate in local online events, such as virtual discussions, webinars, and digital storytelling sessions. •Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor and report on engagement metrics and feedback from outreach activities. Online Volunteers will report to the Regional Communication Assistant and will receive training, messaging guidelines, and visual assets to support them in their role.
