Job Summary
As Senior Project Officer, Health for the GiveWell-supported Vaccination Project, you will facilitate the achievement of project objectives through coordinating and reporting on all project activities and providing technical guidance and advice to staff and implementing partner(s) advancing Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your coordination and relationship management skills will ensure that the project for which you are responsible applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
•
Organize, coordinate, and support implementation of assigned health and immunization project activities in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, Ministry of Health policies, and project implementation plans.
•
Provide technical coordination and implementation support to implementing partners to ensure effective delivery of routine immunization, outreach, community engagement, and other project interventions that contribute to increased vaccination coverage among zero-dose and under-immunized children.
•
Support project quality assurance through routine monitoring, data review, field supervision, learning, and adaptive management processes to strengthen project performance and achievement of results.
•
Coordinate and maintain productive working relationships with implementing partners, Ministry of Health counterparts, health facilities, community structures, and other relevant stakeholders to support effective project implementation and local ownership.
•
Support partner capacity strengthening initiatives through technical assistance, mentorship, coaching, supportive supervision, and knowledge sharing to enhance the quality and sustainability of project interventions.
•
Support implementation of community-based approaches that strengthen identification, referral, follow-up, and access to immunization services for underserved, hard-to-reach, and vulnerable populations.
•
Contribute to strengthening immunization systems through improved planning, service quality, data utilization, performance monitoring, and collaboration with district and facility-level health structures.
•
Support accountability, monitoring, evaluation, and learning efforts by ensuring quality project documentation, facilitating review and reflection processes, supporting analysis of implementation challenges, and documenting lessons learned, promising practices, and success stories.
•
Coordinate with CRS program, MEAL, operations, procurement, logistics, and security teams to facilitate timely and compliant implementation of project activities.
•
Ensure assigned project activities comply with CRS policies and procedures, donor requirements, safeguarding standards, accountability commitments, security protocols, and applicable government regulations.
