Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Research Manager to oversee and coordinate research projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and actionable insights. The Research Manager will lead research design, manage teams, liaise with clients, and contribute to business development, playing a key role in advancing Ogal Consulting’s impact in the region. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and management of qualitative and quantitative research projects tailored to client needs. Develop research tools, methodologies, and protocols ensuring rigor and relevance. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. Supervise and mentor research teams including analysts and enumerators to build capacity and maintain quality. Summarize and present complex research findings clearly to diverse audiences, including clients and stakeholders. Support business development by assisting === Skills & Qualifications === Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in social sciences, economics, public policy, statistics, or related field preferred. 4-6 years of experience managing research projects, preferably in consultancy, international development, or policy research. Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Experience with client-facing roles and leading client engagements. Excellent writing, communication, and data visualization skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with digital research tools and analytics is a plus. Experience working in East Africa or similar contexts is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
