About LSTM LSTM Kenya is a legally registered entity operating as a subsidiary of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), with its base in Kisumu. As part of the wider LSTM Group, LSTM Kenya plays a central role in advancing scientific research, supporting capacity strengthening, and implementing public health interventions across Kenya and the region. The organization works in collaboration with local and international stakeholders to reduce the burden of disease through evidence-based, community-focused approaches. About ISSAD The International Symposium on Streptococcus agalactiae Disease (ISSAD) is a bi-annual global conference that brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and public health stakeholders to address the burden of Group B Streptococcus (GBS)—a leading cause of neonatal sepsis, meningitis, and maternal infections. The conference focuses on advancing GBS research, promoting vaccine development, sharing global data, and aligning efforts toward maternal immunization and disease prevention, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Call for Proposals This tender is being issued by the LSTM Kenya Procurement Office to contract an experienced organization to provide comprehensive conference organization services for the upcoming ISSAD Kenya Symposium, in partnership with the KEMRI-LSTM-Kenya Local Organizing Committee. Scope of Work & Deliverables The contracted organization will be responsible for the following: 1. Logistics & Operations Management Assist the Local Organizing Committee with venue selection, accommodation booking, and airport transfers. Coordinate delivery of a hybrid event (in-person and virtual). Set up and manage the online registration system via the ISSAD website, including payment communications. Implement and manage the abstract submission platform, integrated with the ISSAD website. Maintain and regularly update the ISSAD website to ensure smooth and reliable system functionality. 2. Travel Fellowship & Speaker Support Manage travel fellowships for invited speakers and young ISSAD participants. Provide visa support for international attendees. 3. Scientific Program Support Coordinate room allocation and logistics for sessions, speakers, and session chairs. Source and supply conference merchandise, including: Conference bags and stationery Printed materials and proceedings Gifts/awards for young ISSAD winners Other items as required by LSTM Kenya 4. Financial & Administrative Management Support fundraising efforts, including setting up secure online payment platforms for registrations and sponsorships. Manage the conference budget, track expenses, and process payments related to raised funds. 5. Post-Conference Activities Compile and distribute conference proceedings.
