Job Description

Introduction/background of Tiko Tiko (previously known as Triggerise) is an organization that uses its digital platform called Tiko to motivate users – primarily young women and adolescent girls – to make positive choices. We use nudges like reminders, discounts, in-person and digital follow-ups, and reward points to encourage our users to access and use healthy products and services. We also support them in becoming entrepreneurs and adding value to their economies. Tiko’s reward points can be used to redeem products and services at local shops, or as subsidies to cover the cost of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, removing the cost to access for the users, who are primarily 15-24-year-old adolescent girls and young women (AGYW). Tiko has operations in the following countries either by having offices or by working through local partners in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Zambia, Nigeria and South Africa. Scope of work We are seeking to procure the services of a reputable and experienced staff background check company to support our recruitment, and compliance processes The selected provider will be responsible for conducting comprehensive background screenings including but not limited to employment history, verification, academic qualification checks, criminal records, such as reference checks in any other relevant due diligence as per our Tiko policies. The ideal firm should demonstrate a strong record in delivering timely accurate and confidential reports while adhering to local legal and data protection regulations these engagements aim to ensure we maintain high standards of integrity, safety and compliance across all our hiring processes Objectives Conduct comprehensive background checks for potential candidates verify employment history, education, credentials and professional licenses Assess candidate behaviour, performance and with ethics through references Flag any discrepancies or concerns to the HR team immediately Ensure data protection, confidentiality and secure handling of information Provide regular updates and a final summary report per recruitment cycle Technical requirements Minimum of 5 years of proven track record of conduction professional reference checks Ability to manage and store information securely aligned to GPDR Access to professional reference check systems, where applicable Evaluation criteria #1 Experience, Skills and Ability of Service Provider Bidders’ track record which includes Demonstration of experience and expertise of similar assignments Weight 30 #2 Technical Approach and Execution Plan Proposals must contain the details of the proposed approach to be adopted in order to deliver the service in accordance with the TOR. Weight 30 #3 Financial quotation Competitive rates for the services Weight 10 #4 References Did the bidder submit at least three relevant and contactable clients that were serviced in the past 36 months. Weight 10 #5 Capacity Proposals should clearly indicate whether or not bid participants have the capacity to meet the requirements of the TOR. Weight 20
