The Role Summary:
The Project
Coordinator-Immunization
will provide overall leadership, coordination, technical oversight, and management of the GiveWell Immunization Program across targeted districts in South West State (SWS) and Jubaland State (JBL). S/he will be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supporting implementation of routine immunization and outreach activities in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health, State Ministries of Health, District Health Authorities, implementing partners, and health facilities.
The coordinator will ensure quality implementation of immunization interventions aimed at increasing vaccine coverage, reaching zero-dose and under-immunized children, strengthening routine immunization systems, and improving immunization service delivery in accordance with national EPI policies, WHO standards, and donor requirements. The position will provide strategic oversight to all project activities, monitor project performance and budgets, strengthen partnerships with government and implementing partners, ensure timely reporting, and support evidence-based decision-making to achieve GiveWell-funded project objectives.

Mainstreaming
- Aquent oneself on the project outputs, indicators, activities and budget to ensure smooth implementation of activities
- Work with the Health & Nutrition Manager and project staff to develop project management tools including; Detailed implementation plan, procurement plan, budget spending plan and monitoring plan
- Lead overall planning, implementation, and monitoring of GiveWell immunization project activities in SWS and Jubaland.
- Coordinate project implementation with State Ministries of Health, District Health Authorities, WHO, UNICEF, Gavi partners, and other immunization stakeholders.
- Provide technical and managerial oversight to EPI Project Officers and field teams.
- Ensure integration of project activities within state and district health plans.
- Organize and facilitate regular coordination meetings with implementing partners and government counterparts.
- Represent the organization in EPI technical working groups, health cluster meetings, and immunization coordination forums.
- Strengthen collaboration among health facilities, community structures, and implementing partners to improve immunization service delivery.
- Monitor project progress and provide strategic guidance for program improvement.
- Support development of annual work plans, implementation plans, and project budgets.

- Oversee implementation of routine immunization, outreach, mobile vaccination, and catch-up immunization activities.
- Ensure micro plans are developed, updated, and implemented in all supported districts.
- Monitor implementation of outreach strategies targeting hard-to-reach and underserved populations.
- Conduct regular supportive supervision visits to project sites.
- Ensure compliance with national EPI guidelines, donor requirements, and organizational standards.
- Track key program indicators and monitor progress against project targets.
- Identify implementation gaps and develop corrective action plans.
- Coordinate periodic program reviews and performance monitoring meetings.
- Ensure quality service delivery through regular assessments and supportive supervision.
- Work with the H&N manager and DME staff to ensure that appropriate M&E system are in place
- Ensure project staff, MOH staff and volunteers have accurate understanding of the data collection tools, data management systems and other M&E systems.
- Draft and submit quality and accurate internal and donor report on the timely manner- Consolidation of monthly drug consumption reports, Sitrep, Semi-annual and Annual reports.
- Ensure timely collection, compilation, verification, and analysis of immunization data from all supported sites.
- Conduct routine data quality assessments and data verification exercises.
- Support utilization of DHIS2 and other national reporting systems for immunization data reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
- Develop immunization dashboards and performance summaries for management and donor reporting.
- Ensure documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
- Facilitate data review meetings with project teams and government officials
- Support the development of human-interest stories for project intervention
- Ensure appropriate financial systems, procedures and controls are used in the effective project management
- Monthly financial projections are prepared and submitted for funding in a timely manner.
- Management response to audit queries is done on a timely basis
- Asset inventory in place with the support of Admin and all assets are adequately safeguarded.
- Support preparation of project budgets, narrative reports, updates, financial reports and submit them within the agreed time frames.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate training for project staff, vaccinators, health workers, supervisors, community mobilizers, and community volunteers based on identified capacity gaps.

- Strengthen health worker competencies in immunization service delivery, vaccine management, cold chain management, and data management.
- Conduct staff performance reviews and appraisals, establish clear performance objectives, and monitor progress.
- Manage staff grievances, disciplinary matters, and employee relations issues in line with organizational policies.
- Promote continuous professional development and capacity strengthening initiatives for project staff and volunteers.
- Contribute the mainstreaming of GBV and child protection issues in WV Somalia programs, particularly in health, nutrition, resilience and livelihoods and food programming
