Posting Expiry Date: March 10, 2026.Contract Type: 1 year, possibly with an extension.Overall job purposeConduct health screenings and appraisal of infants and children to detect conditions of severe acutemalnutrition. Provide early intervention and treatment by ensuring nutrition support through theprovision of therapeutic food, routine drugs, including health and nutrition education, by followingthe safest and most effective therapeutic feeding protocol in line with SRCS health policy guidelinesand nursing standards.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Program Implementation Ensure the screening area is well organized, all essential materials/equipment are in place andhe/she wears a uniform. Train, support and supervise screeners when conducting anthropometric measurements (Muac,weight, height, odema check, use z-socre paper). Ensure that nutritional protocol is strictly followed in terms of admission and discharge criteria. Improve case management for severe/moderate acute malnutrition children in OTP/TSFPprogram and ensure that all malnourished children are treated according to IMAM protocol. To reduce nutritional defaulter rate to acceptable by calling caretakers whose children are in theprogram a day before, and do home visits when needed, update nutrition defaulter register. Ensure that the nutrition data quality measures are implemented as per SRCS standardprocedures (HMIS/DHIS2 data matches with data in the registers, Referral documents done asper referral SOPs and all required reports are submitted complete and timely manner). Ensure that the performance indicators of OTP/TSFP program are in line with national spherestandard Conduct health screenings and appraisal of children to detect conditions of severe/Moderateacute malnutrition Perfor === Skills & Qualifications === QualificationsBachelor’s degree in nursing, Public health, Nutrition.Required Job Experience and Competencies Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the screening and treatment of childrendiagnosed with severe acute malnutrition by following the safest and most effectivetherapeutic feeding protocol. Demonstrating consistency in upholding integrity and ethics Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the fundamental principles of theRed Cross and Red Crescent Movement Team leader with demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills Effective communications and interpersonal skills Demonstrate openness to change & ability to manage complexities Demonstrated conflict resolution skills and ability to manage intergroups dynamicsand mediate conflicting interests Excellent writing skills, analytical capacity to synthesize project outputs andfindings for the preparation of quality programme reports Maturity & confidence in dealing with senior and high-ranki --- About Badhan --- Somalia is located in the Horn of Africa and has a growing job market, particularly in the humanitarian, development, and private sectors.
