Guided by a vision of a just, caring,and sustainable world, our mission is to save lives, alleviate poverty, and empower communities in line withthe core humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence.Position OverviewThe Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical and rehabilitationservices, supporting all phases of treatment—including pre-operative, post-operative, and rehabilitation—in close coordination with doctors, surgeons, physiotherapists, and project staff. The role ensures patientsafety through strict adherence to clinical protocols, infection-prevention standards, and accuratedocumentation, while also contributing to project effectiveness through proper reporting and participationin project closure activities.Main Responsibilities Conduct pre‑operative nursing assessments and assist in patient preparation. Provide post‑operative nursing care, including wound care, pain management, and monitoring of vital signs. Support patients during recovery and rehabilitation phases in coordination with physiotherapists. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects or complications. Maintain infection prevention and control standards at all times. Monitor patient progress and promptly report medical concerns to doctors or supervisors. Educate patients and caregivers on post === Skills & Qualifications === Qualifications & Experienceo Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.o Valid nursing license or registration with relevant health authority.o Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in:a) Surgical wardsb) Post-operative carec) Orthopedic or rehabilitation settingsSkills & Competenciesļ‚· Experience working with humanitarian or NGO health projects is an advantage.ļ‚· Strong knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety protocols.ļ‚· Ability to communicate effectively with patients and caregivers.ļ‚· Experience working in fragile or low-resource settings preferred.ļ‚· Strong skills in networking, representation and building relations with diverse stakeholders Sound knowledgeof international donor procedures;ļ‚· Ability to work independently, exercise judgement and flexibility in a very challenging environment;ļ‚· Strong team leadership and conflict resolution skills, adaptability and interest in capacity building;ļ‚· Excell --- About Mogadishu --- Mogadishu, known locally as Muqdisho, is the capital of Somalia and the country's largest city. Qualifications & Requirements
