Background:

WARDI Relief & Development Initiatives (WARDI) is a national non-profit making and non-governmental organization founded in 20 June 1993 and subsequently registered under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the transitional federal government of Somalia through under Article 22, Para 1, 2, 3; Article 26 and Article 67 Para3 of the transitional federal charter of Somalia in 2004, as well as the Article 7, Article 26 and Article 32 of the first constitution of Somalia in 1960.WARDI is also registered in Kenya with the NGO Coordination Board of Kenya though the NGO Coordination Act of 1992. The organization targets the most vulnerable members of the society mainly women and children.

Through Action Medeor the Transitional Development Assistance (TDA is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The Transitional Development Assistance (TDA), is planning to initiate the “PoWEr - Promoting Women Empowerment through an Integrated Approach” project in central Somalia. This initiative, delivered in a consortium, aims to enhance the economic and social empowerment of women, girls, and other vulnerable groups while promoting gender equality and resilience against climate change, disasters, and conflicts. The project’s core approach integrates gender-transformative strategies and aims on building resilience through three key measures: fostering women’s participation in decision-making and economic activities, improving access to essential services, and supporting climate-smart agricultural practices for food security and financial independence.

Main responsibilities towards this project includes but not limited to

:

Overall purpose of the position

We are looking for a system analyst to implement and improve our IT systems. You will analyze system requirements and address any relevant problems. You will also perform standard testings and provide solutions to ensure high levels of performance and security.

Responsibilities

Provide help desk support to all users on IT issues.

Maintain protection services (anti-viruses and firewalls)

Provide hardware and software support to all program equipment, printers, computers, and laptops

Examine and evaluate current systems

Identify system requirements

Liaise with users to track additional requirements and features

Document interfaces between new and legacy systems

Collaborate with IT team and developers to produce new systems

Provide technical support and expertise to the Communication and Fundraising Department, ensuring that all digital platforms, fundraising systems, and communication tools are optimized for maximum efficiency

The officer will work closely with the Communication and Fundraising team to manage digital campaigns, ensure data security, improve online fundraising tools, and support the department in its technical needs, including content management and troubleshooting.

Validate changes by testing programs

Validate changes by testing programs

Train users on the new operation systems and provide support

Ensure deadline and budget requirements are met

Stay up-to-date with current technologies and technical developments

Utilize tools to diagnose and resolve software issues without being physically present, ensuring timely solutions to technical challenges

Qualifications & Requirements

Requirements skills and Qualification

Degree in Information Technology, computer science or related field.

Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, support and implement technical solutions at all levels

Hands on experience in server installations and configurations.

Hands on experience with software development and documentation

Solid knowledge of business information systems

Past Experience as Functional Consultant on the system or Technical Consultant

Ability to explain technical details

Provide different solutions to the problems of computer hardware / software, Internet and data backup etc.

Ensure that internet connectivity is always stable and whenever it is down, work with the service provider to restore it

S/He will be responsible for administering and maintaining data security.

Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
