Position summary

Key Duties and Responsibilities of an ICT Teacher
- Deliver high-quality teaching of Edexcel Pearson ICT/IT curriculum at IGCSE and A Level, ensuring
lessons are engaging, structured, and aligned with examination requirements.
- Prepare and implement lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments aligned with the Edexcel
Pearson syllabus and learning objectives.
- Teach students both theoretical and practical ICT skills, including programming fundamentals,
digital systems, databases, spreadsheets, presentations, and emerging technologies relevant to
the curriculum.
- Prepare students effectively for Edexcel Pearson examinations by using past papers, exam-focused
revision strategies, and regular formative assessments.
- Design and administer class assessments, assignments, and practical coursework, providing timely
and constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Monitor and track student academic performance and provide additional support or intervention
for students requiring improvement.
- Integrate modern educational technology and digital learning tools to enhance classroom
instruction and student engagement.
- Maintain an organised and well-managed ICT classroom and computer laboratory, ensuring
equipment is used safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with school leadership and colleagues to contribute to curriculum development,
