Contract duration: 3 years renewable The Role: The Fundraising and Institutional Partnership Development Lead is responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies, policies, and activities to mobilize resources for the Country Strategy Paper. The role focuses on strengthening partnerships with institutional donors, corporates, trusts, foundations, and institutions serving communities living in poverty and exclusion, in line with the organization’s core values. The position oversees local voluntary fundraising, guides strategic communications to profile and brand the organization as a preferred partner, and facilitates strong collaboration between local, country, and international fundraising teams. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the role contributes to strategic decision-making to ensure organizational efficiency and effectiveness. ActionAid Kenya is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Fundraising and Institutional Partnership Development Lead to drive sustainable resource mobilisation and strengthen strategic partnerships in support of our mission and Country Strategy. This role calls for a bold and collaborative leader with a strong track record in institutional fundraising and donor engagement, capable of building and deepening relationships with institutional donors, corporates, trusts, and foundations. You will play a critical role in positioning ActionAid Kenya as a trusted partner of choice, aligning fundraising strategies with our feminist, human rights–based approach and the lived realities of the communities we work with. As a strategic thinker and skilled relationship builder, you will work closely with the Senior Management Team, country, regional, and international colleagues across the ActionAid Federation to deliver on ambitious funding targets and donor stewardship objectives. You will provide leadership on local voluntary fundraising, guide strategic communications for fundraising, and ensure coherence and collaboration across fundraising teams. As a values-led leader, you will contribute to organisational decision-making, strengthen systems and partnerships that promote accountability and transparency, and support ActionAid Kenya’s long-term financial sustainability. You will champion feminist leadership, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring resource mobilization efforts meaningfully contribute to transformative and lasting social justice impact. You should also have strong commitment to ActionAid’s values and ethos, including ActionAid’s feminist leadership principles .
