The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing DCD organization's day-to-day financial transactions, record-keeping, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with organizational anddonor financial policies. The role requires close coordination with program teams, management, auditors, and donors to support sound financial management across all project activities. Key Duties and Responsibilities

 Process and record day-to-day financial transactions accurately in the organization's accounting system.  Prepare and maintain financial documents, including vouchers, invoices, receipts, and ledgers.  Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and donors.  Support budget preparation, monitoring, and expenditure tracking against approved budgets.  Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies, procedures, and donor requirements.  Reconcile bank statements and petty cash on a regular basis.  Process staff payroll, statutory deductions, and other payments in a timely and accurate manner.  Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and filing systems, both physical and digital.  Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information.  Monitor cash flow and advise management on financial matters as needed.  Ensure proper safeguarding of financial documents, assets, and sensitive information.  Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications and Experience

 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

 Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in finance or accounting, preferably with anorganization or development organization.  Strong knowledge of financial management principles, bookkeeping, and donor compliance requirements.  Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Excel and other MS Office applications.  Demonstrated experience preparing financial reports, budgets, and reconciliations.  High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills.  Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.  Fluency in Somali and English (spoken and written) is required.  Willingness to travel to and work from project sites in Dhanane and surrounding areas as needed.  Somali national with a valid national ID.
