Mogadishu-based Lifeline Gedo (LLG) is looking to fill the role of Finance Coordinator. The successful candidate will bring strong Finance And Accounting experience spanning at least 5 - 6 years. BACKGROUND: Lifeline-Gedo (LLG) is a Humanitarian, Non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to responding to humanitarian emergences through provision of life-saving support mechanisms in partnership with national and international role players, promoting peace and stability, advocate against all kinds of violence, initiate long term and short-term development projects. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE The Finance Coordinator will oversee the financial management and operations of the AARAN Project under the AARAN programme in Belet-Hawo and Bardere districts, ensuring sound financial stewardship and full compliance with donor and organizational requirements. The role will be responsible for managing the finance team, including the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant, to maintain accurate and timely financial records, support project implementation, and ensure adherence to LLG, AARAN and donor financial policies and procedures. The Finance Coordinator will lead budgeting, financial planning, and analysis for the AARAN project, ensuring effective utilization of resources in line with approved budgets and workplans, while supporting timely and accurate donor reporting. Additionally, the role will collaborate closely with programme teams to strengthen financial controls, support cash-based programming, and ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in all financial processes, contributing to the successfu === Skills & Qualifications === Required Experience and Qualifications Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or a professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management within NGOs, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience working with humanitarian donors, particularly Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF), WFP, or similar, is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and donor compliance requirements. Proficiency in financial management systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Demonstrated leadership and team management capacity in complex humanitarian or resilience programmes such as AARAN. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Qualifications & Requirements
