Position Overview
This position is a short-term, daily-rate engagement, paid based on tasks assigned and successfully completed.
The enumerator’s role will be responsible for collecting quantitative data in their respective districts using the phones installed with Kobo toolbox and for qualitative data collection through conducting KIIs and facilitating FGDs.
Main Responsibilities
The enumerators will be responsible for the following:
•
Attend and actively participate in the data collection training delivered by the PQAI training team.
•
Participate in pre-testing of tools and support scheduling of interviews with respondents.
•
Understand and adhere to the assessment protocol, sampling approach and data collection tools before fieldwork begins.
•
Collect quantitative data using Kobo Collect/ODK on mobile devices, ensuring informed consent is obtained.
•
Conduct key informant interviews (KIIs) with relevant stakeholders as assigned.
•
Facilitate focus group discussions (FGDs) with approximately 8–12 participants.
•
Review submissions daily to ensure completeness, accuracy and internal consistency.
•
Transcribe and translate qualitative data (e.g., audio notes from KIIs/FGDs) as assigned.
•
Submit completed questionnaires and return any equipment provided for fieldwork, as directed.
•
Maintain effective teamwork and communication with the PQAI Team, supervisors and other enumerators.
•
Provide timely updates on progress and challenges and seek guidance when needed.
•
Take program photographs only where explicit consent is provided and in line with safeguarding requirements.
•
Support and conduct continuous monitoring activities, submit field visit/observation report and timely documentation of key issues affecting target communities.
•
Carry out other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
