Position summary
Pharo Primary School in Hargeisa is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Primary English Teacher to
join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English
instruction that fosters strong literacy, communication, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
The teacher will create engaging, inclusive, and learner-centred classroom experiences that inspire

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of primary
learners.
- Develop learners' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension
skills through a variety of effective teaching strategies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes participation,
creativity, and confidence.
- Assess learners' progress through a range of formative and summative assessment methods and
provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitor learners' academic progress and implement appropriate interventions where additional
support is required.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning abilities and learning styles.
- Integrate educational technology and age-appropriate learning resources to enhance teaching and
learning.
- Encourage independent learning, critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, assessment, and progress in accordance with
school policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, school leadership, and parents to support learners' academic
and personal development.
- Participate actively in co-curricular activities, school events, and professional development
opportunities.
- Support school admissions, community engagement, and promotional activities when required
