Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and experienced mentors to support and guide youth-led initiatives focused on critical global issues such as Climate change, gender equality, renewable energy, sustainable farming, and leadership development. If you have expertise in one or more of the following areas and are committed to empowering the next generation of environmental activists.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the management of the Eco-Champion Project Coordinator, plan and organize the implementation of the mentorship activities in line with the budget.
- Cultural Competency: Provide mentorship to young leaders from similar cultural backgrounds, ensuring a deep understanding of their cultural context, including local linguistic, religious, and ethnic factors.
- Contribution to Eco Champions Youth Initiatives: Actively contribute to the implementation and success of Eco Champions youth initiatives by providing practical insights, strategic guidance, and encouragement to help young people execute their projects.
- Expertise and Experience: Offer specialized guidance and knowledge in areas such as:
- Motivation and Commitment: Engage fully in the mentoring process, committing to at least 3 sessions (60 minutes each). We recommend a commitment of 4–6 sessions to provide continued support.
- Actively engage young people, particularly young women, as agents of change in forums discussing climate change.
- Equip youth with skills and opportunities for climate action and personal growth.
- Build awareness and resilience for a just transition to stable ecosystems and equity.
- Foster a supportive community for learning and mentorship, focusing on women and girls.
