ECDE Teacher – NGO at Corporate Staffing

Responsibilities
• Actively teach and provide a safe and stimulating learning envir
onment.
• Adhere to the school’s code of conduct and ethics.
• Study and follow the curriculum and lesson plan as provided by the absent teacher or the principal.
• Apply various teaching techniques that are learner-centred.
• Prepare educational materials, such as notes, exercises, and additional resources
• Assign classwork and homework as required.
• Take attendance according to school policy.
• Grade learners’ assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Keep track of students’ progress and write down information that will be useful to the regular teacher.
• Report any incidents regarding students’ behavior in and out of the classroom.
• Maintain a clean and safe class environment for students.
• Oversee school equipment, learning materials and ensure students use it properly.
• Assist learners who require more attention in academics or emotional development.
• Always supervise learners as required.
• Respond professionally to the learner’s needs.
• Be ready to take up other educational activities as assigned by the school management.

Qualifications
• Certificate in ECDE or Diploma in ECDE.
• Previous experience as a part-time or full-time teacher.
• 2-3 Years experience of working with children is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of learning techniques and teaching methods in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE).
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to remain patient and approachable while also maintaining an orderly classroom. Good classroom management.
• Great organizational skills.
