Job Description
Position: E-commerce IT Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled E-commerce IT Officer to join our team and take charge of managing and maintaining the technical operations of our online store. As our company continues to grow, we need an IT professional with a deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, web development, and digital solutions to ensure the seamless performance of our website. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing the user experience, and driving improvements to keep our e-commerce platform running smoothly. Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage, monitor, and maintain the company’s e-commerce website, ensuring 24/7 functionality, speed, and security.
· Handle website updates, integrations, and technical troubleshooting.
· Implement and maintain product listings, banners, and digital content updates as needed.
· Work with external developers or service providers to resolve bugs or implement advanced features.
· Ensure data backup, security, and user privacy measures are in place.
· Optimize website for SEO, mobile responsiveness, and user experience.
· Monitor website traffic and analytics and report performance.
· Coordinate with marketing, sales, and inventory teams to ensure smooth and updated product flow on the site.
· Identify and recommend new technologies or enhancements to improve the site.
· Provide technical support for internal staff using the e-commerce backend.
Skills and qualifications
Skills and qualifications
· Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
· 5-10 years of experience as an E-commerce IT Manager.
· Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience managing or developing e-commerce websites (e.g., Shopify, Woo Commerce, Magento, etc.)
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and content management systems.
- Familiarity with payment gateways, third-party integrations, and shipping plugins.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the platform.
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
