Job Description

JOB PURPOSE Reporting to the Projects Coordinator, the position holder will be responsible for transporting authorized personnel while ensuring compliance with traffic regulation and maintaining the assigned vehicle in good working condition. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Safely transport authorized personnel to designated locations as scheduled. Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled and maintained in good working condition. Check oil, water, battery, brakes, types etc. performs minor repairs and arranges for major repairs. Report on any mechanical issues promptly. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and service schedules. Adhere to all traffic laws and organizational transport policies. Assist in loading and unloading goods when required. Ensure security and safety of staff during transit. Respond promptly to transport requests and emergencies. Provide logistical support to the staff. Ensure all required documentation, such as manifests or delivery receipts, is completed accurately. Report any delays, accidents, or other incidents immediately. Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines and the organizational policies. Participate in safety training programs whenever required. Carry out any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE A minimum of ‘O’ level pass A valid driving license B, C, D, E; with a clean driving record. Be fluent in English language, written and oral and a good command of Kiswahili. At least 5years’ experience working in NGO set up. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED Excellent Driving Skills and knowledge of road safety regulations. Good Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing schedules. High Level of Integrity. Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps. A good team player. Communication skills. Good decision-making skills. Problem Solver Ready to work for long hours including weekends OTHER INFORMATION Willing to uphold Christian principles of HFH Kenya Committed to HFHI principles.
