Position title: Database & ICT Officer Job description Role Summary The Database & ICT Officer is responsible for the management, development, and maintenance of HALO’s operational databases for Somaliland and Somalia, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with HALO’s information management standards, and will also provide day-to-day technical support to HALO Somaliland’s staff and systems in the HQ and in the field, ensuring all IT infrastructure, equipment and software are maintained in good working order. They will oversee the integration of data from HALO’s field data collection systems (such as Survey123) into the GOIMS database, ensuring data is accurate, validated, and used effectively for planning, reporting, and donor engagement. They will also support the design and modification of data collection tools, provide training to field staff on database use, and contribute to the improvement of HALO’s information management systems to support evidence-based decision-making and operational efficiency. Based in Hargeisa, the officer will report to the Field Officer and receive technical support from HALO’s Global IM Team and HALO’s Global ICT team. The role includes frequent coordination with Programme Officer, Operations Manager, and IM staff across Somalia and Somaliland.
