Accountant Internship (Female)

Location: Hargeisa, Somaliland

Position Overview.

Somalijobs’ client, based in Hargeisa, is seeking a motivated, disciplined, and trustworthy female Accountant Intern to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support financial planning and reporting. High-achieving recent graduates with strong analytical skills and a commitment to professional development are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate daily records; prepare invoices, receipts, payment documents and supplier entries.
Perform regular cash and bank reconciliations; organize financial supporting documents.
Prepare weekly cash-flow forecasts and monitor outstanding invoices, collections and upcoming obligations.
Analyze service costs, revenue and profitability; identify discrepancies and report them promptly.
Assist with monthly financial statements, budgets and management reports.
Maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, take initiative and participate in professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements

Female applicant with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is mandatory .
Strong academic performance; outstanding fresh graduates are strongly welcome.
Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and basic reconciliation.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and numerical, analytical and problem-solving ability.
Excellent attention to detail, punctuality, honesty, discretion and organization.
Ability to work independently, accept feedback and take ownership of responsibilities.
Prior accounting experience or familiarity with accounting software is an advantage, not a requirement.

Working Schedule

Eight working hours per day: four hours in the morning and four hours in the afternoon/evening.

Applicants must be available for both shifts. Exact hours, working days and breaks will be confirmed during recruitment.
