Opportunity Pharo Secondary School Sheikh is seeking a dedicated and well-organized Assistant Administrator to support the School Administrator to oversee the smooth running of non-academic operations. This role involves providing day-to-day administrative and logistical support to the teams under general services, which include maintenance, kitchen, security, drivers, and cleaners. Key relationships Role: Assistant Administrator Location: Sheikh, Somaliland Reporting to: School Administrator Contract Type: Fixed Term - One year (possibility of renewal) Key Responsibilities: • Support the School Administrator with scheduling, record-keeping, and communication. • Assist in coordinating the activities and requests from the maintenance, kitchen, security, transport, and cleaning teams. • Follow up on work orders, supply needs, and logistics with relevant teams. • Draft memos, reports, and other administrative documents. Qualifications & Requirements • Diploma or bahelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field. • Previous administrative experience is highly desirable. • Strong organisational and multitasking skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Somali. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools. • Prior experience working in a school or similar institutional environment. Behavioural and Technical Attributes • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism. • Flexibility to support other school operations as needed. • Professional, discreet, and a team player with a positive attitude. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Remains calm and composed under pressure, especially during busy school hours or in emergencies. • Supports and upholds the values, mission, and culture of the school in all duties.
