Assistant Resident Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising daily construction activities.Ensure that works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, and material quality.Conduct site inspections and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.Coordinate with site engineers, inspectors, contractors, and stakeholders.Support in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.Follow up on project schedules and identify potential delays.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality management requirements.Assist in resolving technical issues and communicating decisions to the contractor.Maintain proper documentation and support in preparing payment certificates and reports.Location: Somali Region – Dolo AdoEmployment Type: ContractExperience Required: Minimum 4 (Four) Years in a Consulting RoleSalary: Negotiable === Skills & Qualifications === Requirements:Bachelor is Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Minimum 4 years of overall engineering experience.At least 3 years of proven experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer on building or infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of construction practices, standards, and supervision procedures.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD (project management software is an advantage).Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of FIDIC or other contract conditions is an advantage --- About Dollo Ado --- Somalia is located in the Horn of Africa and has a growing job market, particularly in the humanitarian, development, and private sectors.
