Organizational Context and Scope Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM), the direct supervision of the Head of Resources Management, and in close collaboration with Mission Supply Chain Unit, the Regional Office for East, Horn and Southern of Africa in Nairobi and the Supply Chain Division at Headquarters (HQ), the Supply Chain Officer will be responsible and accountable for overseeing the supply chain activities of the African Development Bank (AfDB) multi-million-dollar project in Kismayo, Somalia to ensure smooth coordination between the Government of Somalia (GoS) and the contractor, in accordance with IOM policies and guidelines. The Supply Chain Officer will also oversee the accommodations and warehouses of the sub-offices in the Mission, and assume as Officer in Charge (OIC) in the absen === Skills & Qualifications === Qualifications Required Qualifications and Experience Education Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in the above fields with seven years of relevant professional experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. Experience Experience in managing diverse procurement and logistics operations in countries in conflict; and, Demonstrated experience in training and managing large teams of co-workers, managing vendors and suppliers in complex operations. Skills Extensive knowledge of IOM/UN internal procurement and financial rules, as well as IOM's system and processes as they apply to procurement and logistics; and, Excellent level of computer literacy and good knowledge of Oracle is an advantage.
