Job Title: PLW Auxiliary Nurse (1 position)Grade: Band 2Reporting to: Nutrition nurse.Duty Station: Habasha clinic. Badhan sub-branch office, Sanaag region.Posting Date: March 4, 2026. Posting Expiry Date: March 10, 2026.Contract Type: 1 year, possibly with an extension.Overall job purposeConduct nutritional screening and assessment of children under five years old using MUAC, weight,height, oedema checks for growth monitoring and to identify malnutrition cases. Also conductscreenings and assessment of pregnant and lactating women using MUAC measurements. H/shealso conducts registration and documentation of child’s information.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Program Implementation Ensure that nutritional protocol is strictly followed in terms of admission and discharge criteria. Improve case management for moderate acute malnutrition of PLWs in TSFP program andensure that all malnourished PLWs are treated according to IMAM protocol. Ensure proper, clear and accurate data recording on clinical registration book and nutritioncards. Conduct health screenings and appraisal of PLWs to detect conditions of Moderate acutemalnutrition Provide health and nutrition education to PLWs on hand hygiene, and exclusive breastfeeding,and Advise mothers on the appropriate time to introduce complementary feeding, and promotethe continuation of Breastfeeding up to 2 years old. Conduct home visits and follow-up discharged patients and provide continuity of care Complete and submit to the TSFP in charge nurse the relevant weekly and monthly reports forthe PLW's activities.Operations Management Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the OPD health programmeline with strategic priorities Identify capacity-building needs of the auxiliary and volunteer nursing team and ensure they areproperly trained and well supported to implement programme activities Participate in emergency preparedness, rapid assessments and emergency response === Skills & Qualifications === QualificationsDiploma in nursing, public health, Nutrition or equivalent qualificationsRequired Job Experience and Competencies Minimum 2 years of Auxiliary nurse or any other relevant profession and experience Good communication skills and a willingness to be respectful, kind, sensitive andempathise with all beneficiaries and their carers Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficultand frustrating working conditions Prepared to live and work in an uncertain security environment Ability and willingness to frequently travel and stay at the field. Fluency in written and speaking mother language and some English Previous experience of working such this field. Experience of emergency nutrition work (ideally measurement or screening) Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the subject of nutritional assessmentand support --- About Badhan --- Somalia is located in the Horn of Africa and has a growing job market, particularly in the humanitarian, development, and private sectors.
