VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Serving Together for Social Development (STS) Project Title: Provision of Life-Saving FSL Assistance to Vulnerable Communities in Qansaxdheere District, Bay Region, SWS, Somalia Project Duration: 6 Months Funding Partner: Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF) Serving Together for Social Development (STS) is a Somali national non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the well-being and resilience of vulnerable communities across Somalia. With a strong operational presence in South Central Somalia and Puntland, STS works closely with local authorities, communities, and development partners to deliver both humanitarian and development assistance. The organization implements integrated programs across key thematic areas, including Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), Health and Nutrition, Education, Protection, and Climate Resilience. Through its community-driven and inclusive approach, STS aims to promote recovery, dignity, and sustainable development for Somali communities. We are currently implementing a Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) project in Qansaxdheere District aimed at improving food access, protecting livelihoods, and strengthening community resilience in response to drought and displacement. STS invites qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following full-time positions: 1. Project Manager (1 Position) Location: Qansaxdheere District Key Role: Lead and coordinate all project activities, supervise staff, oversee cash-based interventions, ensure timely reporting, and effective stakeholder engagement. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, or a related field (Master’s preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience managing humanitarian or FSL projects Strong leadership, planning, and donor reporting skills Fluency in Somali and English 2. Supervisors (2 Positions) Location: Qansaxdheere District Key Role: Provide day-to-day supervision of Cash-for-Work (CFW) sites; ensure compliance with safety and work standards; coordinate with field engineers and beneficiaries. Qualification: Diploma in Civil Works, Agriculture, or a related field Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising CFW or labor-based projects Good organizational and community engagement skills 3. Food Security Monitor (1 Position) Location: Qansaxdheere District Key Role: Monitor food security indicators and impact of both conditional and unconditional cash transfers; collect and analyze data through household visits, PDMs, and market assessments. Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Nutrition, Public Health, or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in food security or cash transfer monitoring Experience with Kobo, ODK, or similar tools preferred Proficiency in Somali and working knowledge of English 4. Registrars (4 Positions) Location: Qansaxdheere District Key Role: Register and verify beneficiaries for cash transfers using fair and inclusive targeting approaches; maintain accurate records; support community validation and feedback processes. Qualification: Certificate or Diploma in Social Work, Community Development, or related field Previous experience in registration or data collection for humanitarian programs Familiarity with Excel or digital registration tools such as Kobo Equal Opportunity Statement STS is an equal opportunity employer.
