Marwa fertility center is looking for qualified candidate to fill the vacant position of Female Scrub Nurse in Marwa fertility center.

Overall job responsibilities:

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

prepares the tools and supplies required in the operation Ensure the OR is sterile and ready for surgery.

Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to the specific procedure.

Verify that all equipment is functioning properl

Sterilize instruments and ensure they are arranged in the correct order for the procedure.

Assist the surgical team in scrubbing, gowning, and gloving using aseptic techniques. Assist in positioning the patient on the operating table.

Help with prepping the surgical site

Perform initial counts of surgical instruments, sponges, needles, and other items to ensure nothing is left inside the patient.

Pass instruments, sutures, and other supplies to the surgeon and assistants during the procedure.

Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and ensure the correct tools are available

Monitor the sterile field and ensure it is not compromised. Replace contaminated instruments or supplies as needed.

Keep track of supplies used during the procedure and request additional items if necessary.

Collect and account for all instruments, sponges, and needles used during the procedure.

Dispose of sharps and biohazardous materials properly. Clean and sterilize instruments for future use.

Completes documentation

Hand patient over to recover room

Experience and qualifications:

• Basic degree of Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Scrubbing Maintain regulatory requirements
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Somali and English languages Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, power point)
• High commitment and ability to work under pressure
